Why GM Factory Diesel Certification Matters for Your Duramax
Duramax engines aren't like gas engines with a diesel badge. Each generation has its own personality and its own known failure patterns, and diagnosing them correctly is the difference between a $600 repair and a $6,000 one.
My focus is the LMM (2007.5 to 2010), LML (2011 to 2016), and L5P (2017 and newer) Duramax generations. These are the trucks I'm factory-trained on and the ones I see most often in Navarre. Between the three platforms, the problems I diagnose most often are NOx sensor failures, reductant level sensor faults, exhaust leaks at the manifolds and up-pipes, induction leaks that rob power under load, and fuel system contamination from wrong-fluid mistakes at the pump. I can handle anything up to and including full engine replacement when that's what the truck actually needs. If you have an older LB7, LLY, or LBZ, I'd rather refer you to someone with specific experience on those older platforms than pretend I'm the right fit for your truck.
How On-Site Duramax Service Works
You call, we talk through what the truck is doing, and I schedule a time that fits both our calendars. Service areas are Navarre, Gulf Breeze, and Fort Walton Beach. Same-day service may be available when scheduling allows, but I don't promise it.
When I show up, I run a full diagnostic before quoting anything. That means a factory scan tool reading Duramax-specific fault codes, plus a visual and functional check of whatever the codes and your description point to. Once I know what's actually going on, I give you a written estimate. The diagnostic fee is credited toward the repair if you decide to move forward.
Every repair I perform uses premium OEM quality level replacement parts and is backed by a 12-month, 12,000-mile labor warranty. That warranty is a real one, not fine print. If something I repaired fails inside that window, I make it right.
Hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 6pm. I do not offer towing. If your truck won't move under its own power, arrange a tow to your home or workplace and I'll come to it there.
